JR Troupe needs to sell tickets!
Dear Understanding JR Troupe,
Below is the total of how many tickets each troupe has sold in the last 2 weeks. GB – 97 SR – 82 SH – 64 JR – 15
I need you to really work on ticket sales so you will have great audiences to perform to. Audiences don’t just show up – they get invited. I will have extra fliers for you each to take a few to hand out to friends and neighbors this week. You might also want to call the people you mailed fliers to. Asking people if you can save them money is never a rude thing to do.
If this is a case of not wanting to invite people because you are worried we won’t get all the details worked out for your show, I am going to ask you to consider that in 24 years and 90 shows, God has never allowed any of HST’s shows to flop. Your show is going to be amazing. It will have some cool special effects and it will be remembered as one of HST’s most unique productions. So, get excited and sell some tickets!!
Blessings, Mrs. Mullan
Begging Again – we need help!
Dear Understanding HST Families,
I’m coming begging again (I warned you – we have more hours needed than required hours can fill, so I have to come begging for people willing to go above and beyond).
TODAY (Tuesday) and TOMORROW (Wednesday)- if you have a dancer – please consider coming to my home (only 5 to 7 min. from dance) to help steam and iron costumes for “That’s Entertainment”. You can sign up on the Sign-UP genius for our records – or you can just show up:
www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0549aea72ca1fa7-costume2
THURSDAY evening (great place for Dad’s to help) we also have a great need for costume transport. All troupes are having costume run or cue-to-cue so we need to transport all the costumes from my basement to Redland Baptist and get them back up on racks. PLEASE don’t make the costume designers have to do this job as they already do so much.
Speaking of transport – *we have no one signed up to transport costumes back to my costume shed after any of the shows.* Mom’s, your students can help you with this! What’s more – if you don’t have someone in the troupe (so you aren’t staying to listen to awards) you will be done and to Cici’s pretty much when everyone else is arriving there. Again – PLEASE don’t let this fall on the designers.
There are also set transport/build and strike/transport slots. I realize I had not put down enough slots for those tasks. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for Dad’s who make these two huge tasks happen. The stress of loading in and out five shows in such a condensed period of time is huge. I couldn’t do it year after year without the Dad’s who come and solve problems on load-ins nights and quickly clear the theater on load-out nights.
Please consider signing up for transport! www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0549aea72ca1fa7-transport
My personal thanks, in advance, to all who give so generously at this time of year. I realize not everyone can (particularly when you have little ones) but for those who re-arrange schedules to fit in some more volunteer time for HST – I offer my sincere thanks and humble appreciation. I can only trust that God will bless you a hundred fold because He is never out-done in generosity.
Blessings, Marilyn

We need sewers Fri. & Saturday
Dear Understanding HST Sewers,
Although we will be doing costume runs at Redland on Friday – we need some sewers to sew at my house (we still have some Showcase sewing that is needed!!) and SR Troupe will be returning early with fixes from their costume cue-to-cue.
Saturday is also a “get her done” sewing day…many hands make light work. Blessings, Marilyn
