Reviewing Discipline Procedure for Showcase

Dear Understanding HST Families,
With 142 students in Showcase – and a different act on the stage every 3 to 5 minutes, It is essential that students listen to instructions. Student safety is our first priority, so we have a straight-forward discipline policy when we are in the theater for Showcase.
– Honor Society Members and Backstage Adult Volunteers are authorized to give your student a warning about following a rule (loud talking, rough housing, eating, etc.). If your child has multiple warnings – their name will be given to me. – *Any student whose name is given to me will have their parents called that evening or the next morning to request your help in reinforcing the rules.* – If the behavior issues are not resolved at the next rehearsal/performance – your student’s seat will be reassigned to a location that is closer to adult supervision.
We rarely have to use this policy because once a warning is given students usually work hard to avoid having their parents called..
