NOTE: *You may be getting multiples of HST emails because HST has been flagged as SPAM *so our full-family email group bounces back (150+times!). The work-around is to send it to smaller groups but that means you will get multiples if you have students in various programs.
Dear Understanding HST Families,
Whether you want to make attending Shakespeare’s show (Twelfth Night) part of your English curriculum, or you just want to make your student (and your) attendance more enjoyable, we have several links of resources. Some links have activities that you can use for an English assignment. Others, like the famous quotes from this show, would just add to the fun of the evening (they can keep track of how many of these quotes are production uses).
Regardless of whether you use the resource links below, attending our Shakespeare productions are a great way to introduce students to this wonderful literature. *HST productions incorporate song and dance* (as did Shakespeare’s original productions) and t*he language is easier to understand as long monologues are reduced or broken into a dialogue. *
HST families are wonderful at supporting each other by attending multiple shows. Please consider making Shakespeare one of the HST shows that your family or you and your student support. There are always great laughs in our SH show. First time attendees tell me they were surprised by how much they enjoyed it!
Blessings, Marilyn PS – My thanks to Mrs. Hoyle for putting together the resource links.
