Financial Collection for Ms. Steffi

Dear 25th Year HST Families,
Our Shakespeare Director, Ms. Steffi Phelan, has been undergoing a bone marrow transplant for the last couple months. *I THANK YOU for your prayers, as this was/is a high-risk procedure*. * Even though her immune system is depleted she is determined to return to HST and finish out the year.* She was able to attend last week with a mask and with her students adhering to careful hand washing before coming into the rehearsal room. *Please continue to pray for Ms. Steffi’s full recovery. ** It would be wonderful if this treatment would successfully rid her of the aggressive leukemia that she has been battling for over a year. *
Ms. Steffi is a professional singer, actress, teacher, and director. She supports herself by working a wide variety of jobs. However, her illness required that she drop all her other jobs (except HST), which means she’s had a greatly reduced income. We’d like to help Ms. Steffi recover some of her lost income by accepting cash donations this week and next. . *There will be a small container on the check-in table tomorrow for your donations. **We prefer cash but will accept checks made out to HST. **We will then cash the checks because **we’d like everyone’s charity to be anonymous. *Like our Christmas baskets, the final sum will come “From Your HST Family.” This will enable families and students to feel comfortable giving small amounts. * It isn’t the quantity that matters, it is the caring that has the most impact. *
